Member of Technical Staff, Robotics Engineer

About the role

We are building AI world models that bridge art and science, and need a Robotics Engineer to bring our video‑native foundation models onto real hardware. The role involves deploying world‑model‑based policies on robots and ensuring they work reliably in the physical world.

Key responsibilities

• Own the deployment loop for learned policies (VLAs, diffusion policies, World Action Models) on real robot arms, handling inference serving, action decoding, controller integration, latency budgets, and safety limits.
• Diagnose real‑world policy failures, determine root causes (data coverage, perception mismatch, execution), and collaborate with research to fix issues.
• Design data‑collection protocols for demonstrations, working with teleoperation and lab infrastructure.
• Partner with research to run controlled experiments linking world‑model representations, data composition, and fine‑tuning to physical success rates.
• Define and run physical evaluation protocols to ensure trustworthy, comparable results across policy iterations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience deploying software on real robot hardware and iterating to resolve issues.
• Fluency with software‑to‑robot interfaces, including action/command spaces, control frequencies, observation pipelines, and calibration.
• Comfort working at the intersection of software and physical systems, able to reconfigure workspaces and trace failures quickly.
