MedTech Field Service Software Technician (Entry Level)

About the role

iQVIA is looking for an entry-level MedTech Field Service Software Technician on the East Coast. The technician works with healthcare professionals and leads technical initiatives in medical device technology, troubleshooting, repairing and updating medical devices in hospitals across the United States with the support of an on-site team. The schedule is flexible, with assignment-based weeks of 1 to 3 days onsite and 3 weeks of open availability each month.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, test and update medical devices, and install and configure hardware, software and network products
• Set up and organize equipment and workstations
• Run routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration
• Manage project timelines and customer needs
• Travel nationally to support customer needs, using a personal vehicle for assignments up to 3 hours from home

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of related technical experience; 3+ years in a field technical role covering hardware and software installations preferred
• Experience in field service, engineering, biomedical, maintenance, electronics, electrical, technical work or IT preferred
• Prior military veterans with electronics, maintenance or IT-related MOS encouraged to apply
• Professional business acumen, communication and soft skills
• Active, unrestricted driver's license, personal vehicle and location within 1 hour of a major airport
• Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship; visa sponsorship not available
• Completion of healthcare facility credentialing, including vaccines and a negative TB test, as required by the client

Required skills

• Comfortable with basic software programs and the Microsoft operating system
• Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision
