MedTech Field Service Software Tech (Entry Level) - Kansas City & St. Louis

About the role

iQVIA's MedTech Field Service Software Tech is an entry-level position for people who want to use their technical experience working with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing and updating medical devices in hospitals across the United States, supported by an on-site team. It suits someone wanting to build technical and leadership skills, with a flexible schedule and the chance to earn supplemental income.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, test and update medical devices, and install and configure hardware, software and network products
• Set up and organize equipment and workstations
• Run routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration
• Manage project timelines and customer needs
• Travel nationally to support customer needs, with assignment-based schedules of 1-3 weeks onsite and 3 weeks of open availability each month

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of related technical experience; 3+ years in a field technical role covering hardware and software installations preferred
• Experience in field service, engineering, biomedical, maintenance, electronics, electrical, technical work or IT preferred
• Prior military veterans with electronics, maintenance or IT-related MOS encouraged to apply
• Active, unrestricted driver's license, a personal vehicle and location within 1 hour of a major airport
• Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship; visa sponsorship not available
• Healthcare facility credentialing required after selection, including vaccines and a negative TB test

Required skills

• Comfortable with basic software programs and the Microsoft operating system
• Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Professional business acumen, communication and soft skills
