Crypto Engineer

About the role

CACI is looking for a Crypto Engineer in St. Louis to support an Intelligence Community customer's wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across several security domains. The focus is on performing COMSEC and cryptologic duties, including the operation and maintenance of encryption devices. The position requires a TS/SCI clearance and up to 10% local travel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform account management, custodian duties and configuration and maintenance of encryption devices
• Maintain multiple secure communication devices across the enterprise, including General Dynamics KG175 series, L-3 KG245 series, and Viasat KG250, KG255X and KG142 devices, using GEM ONE, CHM and VINES managers
• Install, configure and maintain WAN and LAN hardware, including cryptographic, voice, video and data cable systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve network media and component issues, and monitor the health and performance of communications security services
• Perform research, requirements analysis, design, installation, troubleshooting and support of network hardware, software and applications

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI security clearance (willing and able to obtain a polygraph)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 5 years of related experience
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+)
• Ability to work independently with little direction and to work weekends and evenings as needed
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including presenting to senior management

Required skills

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite: Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
• Desired: JNCIA (Juniper Networks), TCP/IP networks, Cisco CCNP/CCVP/CCNA/CCDP, ITIL v3 Foundations, ISC2 CISSP
