Med/Surg RN Traveler (36 hrs, Night Shift)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Med/Surg RN traveler for a 36-hour-per-week night shift in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The position is offered through AdventHealth's StaffFlex program, which lets nurses work contract assignments at one facility or float within multiple hospitals across 9 states, with no third-party agency involved. The pay rate is $59.50 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Implement interventions safely and document them, and collect and document patient health data
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and educate patients and families
• Follow hospital policy for patient admission, discharge and transfer, and take part in peer review
• Advocate for patients, ensure safe handoffs and follow CDC isolation guidelines and PPE use

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing)
• High-level abstract reasoning and basic computer skills with Microsoft Windows programs
• Additional licensure or certification may apply depending on unit or state
