Medication Technician (Per Diem)

About the role

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is hiring a Medication Technician (Med Tech) in Voorhees Township, New Jersey, on a per diem basis. The role combines medication administration with personal care, companionship and support for seniors, with a schedule that allows flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, engaging personal care, assistance, support and companionship to residents.
• Engage and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Watch for changes in residents' day and personal care needs and update their Resident Care Plan.
• Encourage resident participation in community programs and activities.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical condition, cognition and emotional status to the supervisor.
• Perform medication administration in accordance with State regulations.

Required profile

• Registered Medication Aide (RMA) or Certified Medication Aide (CMA).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medication Technician training and periodic competency testing.
• At least six months of experience working with seniors in personal care, home health, hospital or long-term care.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and to use proper body mechanics while lifting residents.

Required skills

• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA policies.
• Strong communication skills.
