Medical Technologist / Lab Technician – Automated Chemistry

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus seeks a Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician to perform and interpret automated chemistry tests across all complexity levels. You will work with cutting‑edge technology and collaborate with researchers and specialists to support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis, reporting, and record‑keeping.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge, quality control documentation, instrument calibrations, and equipment maintenance.
• Identify and resolve test performance issues or notify supervisors promptly.
• Perform proficiency testing in compliance with CLIA regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in continuing education, professional development, and annual competency assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field or meet CLIA high‑complexity testing grandfathering criteria.
• One or more licenses in Microbiology, Immunohematology, or related areas.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist, MLT, or MLS (or eligibility through ASCP) is preferred.
• At least one year of clinical Microbiology experience is advantageous.
