Medical Screener – Donor Screening and Collection

About the role

The Medical Screener ensures safe and efficient donor identification, registration, and screening for plasma collection. You will work directly with donors, perform vital sign checks, and operate specialized equipment in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform donor identification, registration, and screening according to cGMP, DCOP, CFR, and company policies.
• Draw vein and finger‑stick samples, assess vital signs, conduct HCT/TP testing, and manage donor deferrals and reactions.
• Coordinate physicals, assessments, and documentation with physicians or substitutes.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain Haemonetics Autopheresis and other collection equipment.
• Maintain donor floor supplies, enter data into DMS, and document all activities per SOPs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer, typing, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work flexible or extended shifts and stand for long periods.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and handle blood‑borne pathogen exposure.
