Medical Science Liaison – South Texas

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will act as a high‑level scientific peer and primary conduit between Bausch Health and key medical experts across South Texas. Reporting to the global medical affairs team, the MSL will support clinical operations, provide strategic insights, and ensure the dissemination of balanced scientific data to healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long‑term scientific relationships with key opinion leaders in gastro‑enterology and hepatology.
• Deliver evidence‑based presentations and lead deep‑dive scientific discussions on disease states and therapeutic pipelines.
• Represent Bausch Health at major medical congresses, facilitating scientific exchange and capturing emerging clinical data.
• Collect and communicate “voice of the customer” insights to inform global medical strategy and lifecycle planning.
• Partner with Clinical Operations to identify and qualify potential trial sites and support patient recruitment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional field teams to ensure alignment on clinical and business objectives.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) with strong background in gastro‑enterology or hepatology.
• Proven experience engaging with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Excellent scientific communication skills and ability to present complex data clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment.
