Medical Receptionist – Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Medical Receptionist to join our Family Center for Health Care clinic in Colby, KS. Reporting to the Department Leader, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling registrations, appointments, and front‑desk communications.

Key responsibilities

• Complete patient registrations, pre‑registrations and temporary registrations, and keep medical records up‑to‑date.
• Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and follow office scheduling policies.
• Greet patients and visitors courteously, check‑in patients, and assist those with ambulatory difficulties.
• Answer phones, screen calls, take messages, and provide information.
• Sort and deliver mail, medical records, and other correspondence while keeping the lobby orderly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a medical office and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a ten‑key adding machine.
• Computer skills, including typing 45‑60 words per minute.
• Clear, concise verbal communication.
