Medical Planner - Architecture

About the role

ISG, a multi-disciplinary firm founded in 1973 offering architecture, engineering, planning and interior design services, is looking for a Medical Planner to join its growing Healthcare Business Unit. You will work with physicians, healthcare leaders and project teams to develop planning and programming solutions for patient-centered healthcare environments, collaborating with architects, designers and healthcare specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop healthcare planning and programming concepts while keeping clients and project teams informed about design, schedule and budget impacts
• Analyze space utilization and service line data to define current and future space needs, then develop unit and room layouts based on medical equipment and clinical workflows
• Create several layout options and coordinate master planning and pre-design studies through design development
• Keep up with healthcare design trends, sustainability, LEAN strategies and evidence-based design
• Mentor and manage design team members, and take part in marketing and business development

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture; architectural registration strongly preferred
• EDAC and/or ACHA accreditation strongly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare projects, medical planning or a related field
• Strong knowledge of healthcare planning and programming, and of building codes such as Life Safety, ADA and FGI

Required skills

• Revit, Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI
• Knowledge of medical equipment planning and delivery
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
