Architect - Food + Industrial

About the role

ISG, an architecture and engineering firm, is hiring an Architect for its Food + Industrial Business Unit in Bloomington. As an Employee Owner, you will work directly with Senior Architect Mark Chambers and collaborate with internal design, engineering, specification, visualization and construction teams. The role supports projects for food processing, industrial and manufacturing facilities, and travel of 1-2 days a few times a month is required.

Key responsibilities

• Work with clients through facility master planning, funding strategy, operational programming and stakeholder presentations
• Build relationships with internal teams and external partners to grow project groups and new business in food processing and industrial manufacturing
• Communicate project goals, design standards and procedures with project managers and multidisciplinary teams
• Lead the development of project contract documents, including food safety compliance and industrial performance specifications
• Mentor and lead the team, and support process optimization, equipment layout planning and regulatory documentation
• Assist in winning and executing work across the ISG footprint

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program (preferred)
• Licensed Architect with experience in food processing or industrial facility design (preferred)
• Ability to connect with clients and represent ISG and clients publicly
• Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating across teams

Required skills

• Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp
• Familiarity with industrial design tools is a plus
