Medical Laboratory Technician – Night Shift

About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a full‑time Medical Laboratory Technician to work the night shift in a modern clinical laboratory, performing high‑volume tests and ensuring quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analytical tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunology, Immunohematology, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
• Collect and prepare patient specimens.
• Execute and record quality control procedures for all assays.
• Conduct routine instrument checks and maintenance.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the laboratory manager.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) and ability to obtain certification within one year.
• Proficiency in record‑keeping, report writing, and correspondence.
• Experience developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, medical staff, and the public.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards and respond calmly in emergencies.
• Capability to interpret, adapt, and apply laboratory guidelines and procedures.

Required skills

• Competence in performing tests across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunology, Immunohematology, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
• Specimen collection and preparation.
• Quality control execution and documentation.
• Instrument operation, routine checks, and maintenance.
