Medical Lab Tech Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a qualified Medical Lab Tech Instructor to deliver both online and on‑campus laboratory courses. You will guide students through hands‑on lab sessions, prepare them for national certification exams, and support their placement in clinical assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory sessions for Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) students and supervise lab processes.
• Assist with student placement in clinical sites and manage online clinical assignment courses.
• Prepare students for ASCP/AMT national certification exams.
• Develop program curricula, lesson plans, and course outlines aligned with accreditation standards.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain equipment and supply inventories, and ensure safety in the training environment.
• Generate required documentation, administrative reports, and maintain program certification compliance.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, and job‑placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory, medical laboratory science, or a related life‑science field.
• Current ASCP or AMT certification (MLS, MT, or MLT).
• At least three years of recent experience working in a clinical or medical laboratory.
• Ability to develop instructional materials and assess student performance.
