Job description

About the role

This role within the Chief Medical Office organization supports the operational development, maintenance and monitoring of asset-level Integrated Evidence Plans (IEPs). It works under the strategic direction of the Medical Evidence Development Therapeutic Area Lead and other strategy owners, coordinating evidence-plan development, gathering cross-functional input, tracking execution and supporting timely updates as evidence needs and asset priorities change.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development of IEPs based on evidence strategy set by the Therapeutic Area Lead, asset leadership and governance teams.
  • Run cross-functional working sessions with Medical Affairs, Epidemiology/RWE, Statistics/Programming, Regulatory, Safety, Operations, Quality, Global Access & Value, International and others, then turn the strategy into a structured IEP with gaps, activities, dependencies, owners, timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintain current IEP versions, coordinate periodic reviews and refreshes, and flag feasibility concerns for proposed evidence-generation activities.
  • Monitor IEP activities (milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions) and work with the MED Program Management team and study teams to keep trackers, dashboards, meeting materials and status reports up to date.
  • Prepare consolidated progress updates and decision-support materials for the Therapeutic Area Lead, asset teams and Medical Affairs leadership.
  • Follow up with activity owners so approved actions and deliverables are reflected in the IEP, and support early research concept discussions.
  • Track execution risks, support mitigation actions, and escalate issues needing strategic or governance decisions.
  • Take part in therapeutic-area or enterprise evidence-generation initiatives as the operational representative for assigned assets.

Required profile

  • PhD or Master's degree in Epidemiology preferred; MD, PharmD or Bachelor's degree may be considered with significant applicable experience.
  • Experience supporting Integrated Evidence Planning; experience in medical affairs research, real-world evidence, outcomes research or clinical development is an added bonus.
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder planning and turning strategy into plans, timelines and tracking mechanisms.
  • Strong knowledge of the drug-development process and evidence generation across the asset lifecycle; oncology experience preferred where relevant.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment under senior strategy and functional leaders.

Required skills

  • Strong understanding of observational research, real-world evidence and low-interventional study approaches.
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions, synthesize inputs, document decisions and escalate issues.
  • Project coordination, version control, risk management and strong communication skills.
  • Regulatory-grade evidence project experience is desirable; accountability for regulatory strategy is not required.
