Medical Director – Integrative Health (Family Medicine)

About the role

The Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Miami seeks a dedicated physician to serve as Medical Director. This senior position will shape the clinical practice of integrative medicine within a leading academic health system, collaborating closely with the Center Director and multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight and leadership for all integrative health services.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high‑quality, evidence‑informed, whole‑person care.
• Contribute to direct patient care when appropriate.
• Optimize clinical workflows, documentation, and processes in partnership with administrative staff.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives, monitor outcomes, and ensure compliance with institutional, state, and regulatory policies.
• Mentor and supervise a multidisciplinary team of integrative providers, participating in hiring and performance evaluations.
• Advise on clinical priorities, service development, and interdisciplinary integration across the health system.
• Support teaching, mentorship of learners, and advocacy for integrative approaches.

Required profile

• MD or DO with an active medical license and board certification.
• Clinical experience and/or formal training in integrative or complementary medicine.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑residency clinical experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, team‑building, and commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑centered care.
