Medical Assistant – SoLé Mia

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth at SoLé Mia is seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant to support the Department of Radiation Oncology. You will work directly with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary supplies, instruments, and materials.
• Assist providers during physical examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory tests, obtain vital signs, conduct EKGs, and draw blood (phlebotomy).
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Observe and report any changes in patient condition or symptoms.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Ability to provide culturally competent care following evidence‑based standards.
• Commitment to ethical and legal professional practice.
• Willingness to work under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or delegated nurse.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism in a clinical setting.
