Medical Assistant – Sleep Lab (Part‑time, Nights)

About the role

The Medical Assistant – Sleep Lab supports both inpatient sleep study services and outpatient Sleep Disorders Center operations at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. This part‑time night shift role (7 pm‑11 pm) ensures patients receive seamless diagnostic sleep testing and smooth clinic flow.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, and set up portable sleep monitoring equipment for inpatient and outpatient patients.
• Provide basic education and support to patients regarding the sleep study process.
• Assist with patient intake, triage, room preparation, appointment readiness, and distribution of materials in the Sleep Disorders Center.
• Perform screenings, update health maintenance information, collect specimens, conduct tests, and document patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
• Handle administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• Completion of a clinical externship (or extensive clinical experience).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross (within new‑hire period).
• Current demonstrated clinical proficiency.
• Military medical training (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician) considered.
