Medical Assistant – Remote Patient Monitoring

About the role

The Medical Assistant will support Welby Health’s remote physiological monitoring program, using the company’s platform to track vitals, reinforce care plans, and educate patients. This remote position works closely with nurses, physicians, and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless care coordination and a high‑quality patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review patient vitals and assessments within Welby Health’s platform.
• Support care managers in executing individualized care plans and document patient interactions per regulatory standards.
• Coordinate follow‑up tasks with providers and internal teams, acting as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Deliver patient education, routine guidance, and general support via telephone and secure messaging.

Required profile

• Active and valid Medical Assistant certification in good standing.
• 2‑5 years of direct patient care experience in medical‑surgical or home‑care settings.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, technology‑enabled environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with remote physiological monitoring tools.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Use of patient engagement platforms and secure messaging.
