Medical Assistant – Heart Transplant Clinic – Full Time

About the role

This full‑time position provides individualized medical care to patients in the Heart Transplant Clinic under the supervision of a licensed health‑care provider. The Medical Assistant supports both patients and providers throughout each visit, ensuring a smooth and compassionate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and providers for appointments, including room setup and documentation.
• Answer patient questions, provide clear communication over the phone and in person, and ensure patient needs are met promptly.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, entering pertinent medical information into company data systems.
• Assist the attending physician during examinations and procedures, and handle additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
