Medical Assistant – Clinical Administration Float Team (Full‑Time Days)

About the role

We are seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to join our Clinical Administration Float Team at CFV Medical Group in Fayetteville, NC. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports both administrative and clinical functions across multiple clinic locations.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient vital signs, update charts, and manage patient documentation.
• Collect and process point‑of‑care, laboratory, and pathology samples following CFVH policies.
• Perform quality and safety checks on waived testing equipment and supplies.
• Provide patient education, administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies under provider orders.
• Assist providers during procedures, manage reusable instruments, and ensure proper sterilization.
• Maintain a clean patient care environment and handle biohazard and pharmaceutical waste per OSHA and CFVH guidelines.
• Perform front‑desk duties including greeting patients, scheduling, and supporting coding for billing and QA.
• Coordinate with external healthcare partners and monitor Epic inbox messages.
• Float to other clinic locations as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• Ability to work day shifts and float between clinic sites.
• Strong attention to patient confidentiality, rights, and safety.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding for billing purposes.
• Experience with point‑of‑care testing and high‑level disinfection procedures.
