Med Surg Registered Nurse

About the role

Join a dedicated Med‑Surg team at a leading healthcare organization in Texas. You will provide compassionate, high‑impact care to adult medical‑surgical patients while working in a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for adult Med‑Surg patients.
• Admit, monitor, and document vital signs, symptoms, and post‑surgical recovery.
• Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and operate medical equipment safely.
• Provide bedside care, wound care, pain management, and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and specialists for coordinated care.
• Support pre‑ and post‑operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in unit‑based quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state eligibility).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• 1–2 years of acute care or Med‑Surg nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
