Mechanical/Equipment Engineer II

About the role

Clopay is seeking a Mechanical/Equipment Engineer II to provide plant‑level support for mechanical equipment within the capital project group at its Troy, Ohio facility. The role involves introducing new manufacturing technology, managing equipment improvement projects, and ensuring equipment performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, budget, and objectives; develop equipment specifications for capital projects.
• Manage equipment improvement projects from startup to completion, including schedule, budget, and plant safety.
• Write justifications and proposals, manage vendors and contractors, and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
• Review, provide feedback on, and approve equipment designs; confirm as‑built drawings and documentation.
• Research and develop equipment improvements to increase efficiency, capacity, and safety.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of experience supporting production equipment and managing capital projects.
• Hands‑on experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and troubleshooting production equipment.
• Ability to use data to drive results and lead matrix teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI standards.
