Mechanical Engineer – Medical Robotics

About the role

Clarapath is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and improve mechanical systems for its SectionStar™ and TrimStar Pro™ medical‑robotic platforms. The role spans the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to verification, manufacturing, and field deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation for robotic laboratory equipment.
• Perform engineering analyses, tolerance stack‑ups, and design calculations to validate performance.
• Prototype, test, and troubleshoot mechanical designs to enhance functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, and customer‑facing teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Support product verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and documentation.
• Work closely with manufacturing to transition designs into production and resolve production‑related issues.
