Mechanical Designer – Industrial Fans & Blowers

About the role

Join SPX Technologies' Design team to create and maintain detailed 2D/3D models, drawings, and documentation for industrial fans, blowers, and related components. This onsite position works closely with engineering, production, and applications teams to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and draft 2D and 3D drawings for fans, blowers, and components.
• Produce manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and bill of materials (BOMs).
• Support product design changes, custom orders, and engineering updates.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, tolerances, and specifications.
• Review engineering specifications to determine critical dimensions and orientations.
• Create detailed layout drawings and evaluate design alternatives with manufacturing.
• Assist with customer order processing and provide technical support to manufacturing and sales.
• Analyze product specifications and performance requirements for manufacturability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of CAD experience in air pollution control, HVAC, or a similar industry.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product documentation.
