Mechanical Designer / Engineer – SolidWorks Expertise

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer or Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Taylor, PA. The role focuses on creating detailed SolidWorks models and drawings that can be manufactured efficiently, while collaborating closely with production, quality and other engineering functions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and systems using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing.
• Produce technical documentation, tolerance analyses and perform mechanical calculations as required.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to verify design feasibility.
• Support prototype development and troubleshoot design or production issues.
• Maintain organized design files and adhere to company standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design or product development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
