About the role

Applied Materials is seeking multiple Materials Project Managers to support the development and manufacturing of advanced semiconductor and display products. You will work in Santa Clara, CA, driving material innovation and ensuring supply chain efficiency for cutting‑edge technology.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables across buyers, planners, and production control.
• Manage supplier negotiations, risk assessments, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee materials change control, cost objectives, and quality issue resolution.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in materials engineering and supply chain processes.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive complex problem solving.
• Strong analytical judgment to influence sourcing and cost decisions.

Required skills

• Material requirements planning (MRP) systems.
• Make‑versus‑buy analysis.
• Supplier risk assessment and performance monitoring.
• Cost analysis and total landed cost tracking.
