Materials Manager

About the role

Stryker's supply chain team in Redmond is looking for a Materials Manager to lead material flow, inventory accuracy and operational performance across manufacturing and distribution. The role covers planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, receiving and shipping, and works with cross-functional teams to align supply plans with business needs. It is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage material planning, production planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, receiving and shipping to support on-time customer order fulfillment.
• Monitor and drive KPIs such as inventory health, inventory turns, days of inventory, production attainment, delivery performance, service levels and back-order reduction.
• Develop and communicate supply plans through ERP systems, reports and updates with production, quality, engineering and other operational teams.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce costs and limit excess and obsolete inventory.
• Direct and develop department personnel, manage staffing, conduct performance reviews, provide training and maintain departmental policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, production planning, procurement, inventory management or related operations.
• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: experience leading continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems and managing inventory, production planning and material flow in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Financial knowledge or training in budgeting, cost management or operational performance metrics.
• Preferred: experience with SAP ERP software.

Pay range: $118,000 - $196,600 USD per year; no travel required.
