Materials Management Clerk 2 – Full Time

About the role

The University of Miami, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a Materials Management Clerk 2 to coordinate the transfer of raw materials, parts, and finished products, ensuring supplies are purchased, received, inspected, and stored according to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all order‑related documentation and tracking information.
• Approve critical supply logs for storeroom inventory and review product use to secure best pricing.
• Work with other departments to resolve inventory and supply order issues, ensure timely deliveries, and address stop shipments or credit holds.
• Check expiration dates, rotate supplies, and assist in unloading and unpacking inventory items.
• Notify managing staff of overstocking or discrepancies, fill tickets and requisitions, and deliver supplies to appropriate locations on time.
• Ensure supplies are charged appropriately on the day of delivery and label inventory packages correctly.
• Preserve accurate receiving and ordering paperwork and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant materials management or inventory experience.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Learning agility, teamwork, strong written and verbal communication, and technical proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications.
