Material Handler

About the role

Dura-Line, an Orbia Connectivity Solutions business, is hiring a Material Handler in Lubbock, Texas. The role covers shipping and receiving, loading and unloading shipments and staging materials for production.

Key responsibilities

• Fulfill orders by packaging materials and preparing shipments
• Store materials in designated locations
• Safely operate forklift and lift equipment for shipping, receiving, feeding and clearing production lines and work areas
• Load and unload shipments and report inventory receipts
• Provide documentation to the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator and inspect shipments for damage
• Communicate with carriers and assist cycle counts
• Understand material requirements for products during the shift and coordinate with production for material staging

Required profile

• Shipping/receiving experience
• Able to operate a forklift safely
• Physical strength; able to move around obstacles, wear PPE, stand and walk 8-12 hours, work near hot machinery and climb, reach, squat and bend

Required skills

• Basic math, measurement and reading comprehension
• Distribution warehouse procedures
