Material Handler – First Shift

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Material Handler to join its logistics team in Columbus, MS. The role supports warehouse operations on the first shift, handling receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping of materials while ensuring inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Receive vendor purchase orders, verify carton counts against Airway Bills or Bills of Lading, and record receipts in SAP.
• Stock parts using handheld scanners according to warehouse procedures.
• Pick delivery notes by priority, pack shipments systematically in SAP, and ship material based on customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for all warehouse transactions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of related warehouse experience.
• Authorized to work in the US (US Person under ITAR definition).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong customer service focus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for inventory and transaction processing.
• Experience using handheld scanning devices.
• Operation of warehouse material‑handling equipment such as forklifts and cherry pickers.
