Material Handler – Automation (Order Builder)

About the role

The Material Handler Automation 1 ensures product flow on semi‑automated conveyors, corrects system errors, and builds or tears down orders as needed. You will work in a fast‑paced production environment, maintaining safety and cleanliness while meeting daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Place the correct product on conveyor pick lanes as items are released.
• Monitor and resolve conveyor alarms using handheld radios and system displays.
• Sort and position materials on racks, pallets, or bins according to size, type, or code.
• Coordinate replenishment with relevant teams and restock pallet‑pick and flow‑rack zones.
• Manually build new orders and process returns in HQS zones.
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) equipment when required.
• Maintain daily production goals and perform general housekeeping.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow safety policies.
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Conversational English for understanding instructions.
• Professional appearance and respect for company assets.
• Education: less than high school or up to 1 month related experience/training.

Required skills

• PIT equipment operation.
• Conveyor system monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
