Marketing Specialist – State Based Exchange

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Insurance Department is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support the Georgia Access for Business program. This position will develop and execute marketing strategies that promote state services and engage the business community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and plan marketing strategies for the State Based Exchange.
• Create marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, posters, exhibits, and promotional materials.
• Assist in identifying potential customers and selecting appropriate outreach methods.
• Support the implementation of marketing plans and trade‑show product selections.
• Compile and maintain lists describing product and service offerings.
• Ensure the department’s business plan and costs align with agency priorities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the local business community, internal and external agency customers, and related contacts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree in marketing or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of relevant job experience, or one (1) year of experience at the lower‑level Marketing Spec 1 (GSP070) or equivalent.
