Mariachi Teacher – Part‑time

About the role

Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional mariachi instructor to teach part‑time at its Northwest Austin location, The Musician's Woodshed – North Parmer. The role begins in the Fall 2026 school year and involves in‑person instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead weekly group mariachi classes and provide engaging private lessons.
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, and community events.
• Foster a fun, inclusive, and educational learning environment.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in mariachi performance and instruction.
• Ability to teach both group classes and one‑on‑one lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of traditional mariachi styles, repertoire, and instrumentation.
• Ability to lead ensemble rehearsals with confidence.
• Proficiency on one or more mariachi instruments (violin, trumpet, guitar, vihuela, guitarrón, voice) – preferred.
