Manufacturing Process Engineer

About the role

This Manufacturing Process Engineer position reports to the Production Engineering Specialist and focuses on optimizing the production organization's assembly methods, processes and equipment to minimize labor hours in line with quality, efficiency, cost and safety strategies. The engineer ensures appropriate production methods, cycle times, equipment performance and materials, defines the working phase sequence of new production processes and helps meet product cost and equipment investment budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and recommend improvement opportunities, implement improvement projects and ensure they meet timeframe, quality and cost requirements.
• Approve designs for internally or externally developed processes and perform final tests.
• Support production during internal or external process and equipment start-ups, define action plans and train maintenance and production resources.
• Evaluate new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost, and lead testing activities, approval criteria and external provider choices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation or Production Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
• Immersion in industrial engineering methodologies and the manufacturing market, and enhanced knowledge of continuous improvement.
• Work authorization in the US region; sponsorship is not available.
