About the role
Rolls‑Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Rotatives to join its Indianapolis team. The role focuses on developing advanced manufacturing processes for aerospace, marine and nuclear applications, collaborating with designers, customers, suppliers and operations specialists worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure product integrity by aligning manufacturing methods with design intent and interfacing with design engineering.
- Maintain manufacturing processes that meet quality, cost, delivery and lead‑time requirements.
- Follow process change management procedures using FAIRs, MVAs and technical verification.
- Reduce waste through setup reduction, scrap reduction, improved machine utilization and method optimisation.
- Investigate customer complaints and quality non‑compliances, leading cross‑functional corrective‑action groups.
- Create and maintain elements of the Technical Package that clearly define the manufacturing process.
