Manufacturing Associate – Rolling Mill

About the role

Join Gerdau’s rolling mill finishing department as a Manufacturing Associate, supporting material flow and machine operations while learning multiple roles in a dynamic production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate tying/strapping, bundle discharge, straightener entry machines and assist with material handling using overhead crane and forklift.
• Perform troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and preventive inspections on banding and tying machines.
• Manage material identification, tag changes, and production reporting for each heat.
• Assist with changeovers, staging equipment, and removal of damaged pieces using hand tools.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1‑3 years of industrial or manufacturing experience operating an overhead crane and forklift.
• Ability to work a 12‑hour rotating DuPont schedule, including days, nights, and two weekends per month.
• Basic computer and math skills, with attention to detail and safety.
