Managing Director, Elvis Duran Podcast Network

About the role

iHeartMedia, the largest podcast publisher in America, is looking for a Managing Director to oversee the Elvis Duran Podcast Network in New York. The role calls for a proven leader with experience developing engaging audio content and driving audience growth, with a deep understanding of pop culture, digital creators and social media trends.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the development of assigned podcasts and shape the delivery of podcast content
• Delegate duties and show assignments, and supervise producers and producers
• Manage show budgets and communicate needs with talent and other departments
• Recruit and develop new talent and show concepts, and develop and produce new shows, including casting, piloting episodes and promoting across media
• Drive brand growth through audience development and cross-show promotion
• Work with Sales to present shows to advertisers and sponsors, and with Finance to prepare quarterly statements for talent and partners
• Work with the Executive Producer on production, staffing, pre- and post-production

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a creative environment, taking projects from idea to launch
• Knowledge of current and emerging pop culture, internet culture and entertainment
• Experience guiding others' work, giving performance feedback, and interviewing, hiring and training employees
• Managerial experience and a strong network
• Ability to prioritize, delegate and work well in teams under tight deadlines
