Manager Trainee - Operational Strength Program

About the role

Avis Budget Group is recruiting a Manager Trainee for its Operational Strength Program (OSP), starting January 2027. The program is a 12-month, full-time, immersive career-launching journey for high-potential leaders who want to become Operations Managers. It combines structured learning, functional rotations and hands-on experience with a peer cohort and mentorship from senior leaders. The program is based at the DFW Rental Car Center, DFW International Airport.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through key operational functions while receiving personalized mentorship
• Apply new skills daily through hands-on experience in operations, customer service, logistics and team leadership
• Build the skills to drive team performance and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment
• Work on-site, regularly, and be available for shifts, weekends and holidays

Required profile

• 2- or 4-year college degree OR 4 years of military service
• Ability and willingness to relocate anywhere in the United States after the initial 8-week training
• Data-focused problem solver with strong analytical skills
• Experience as a team member or team leader (e.g., sports, clubs, military)
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
• Strong leadership potential, resilience and emotional intelligence
• Extra points for at least one year of customer service experience
