Manager Trainee - Operational Strength Program

About the role

Avis Budget Group is recruiting a Manager Trainee for its Operational Strength Program (OSP), starting January 2027. This full-time, 12-month career-launching program prepares participants to become Operations Managers through hands-on training in operations, customer service, logistics and team leadership, alongside a peer cohort and personalized mentorship. The program is based on-site and requires regular presence.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through key operational functions and apply new skills daily through hands-on experience.
• Receive coaching and support from senior leaders and grow within an OSP peer cohort.
• Build the skills to drive team performance and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to relocate to any location nationwide after the initial eight-week training is an essential requirement.

Required profile

• 2- or 4-year college degree OR 4 years of military service.
• Ability and willingness to relocate anywhere in the United States.
• Experience as a team member or team leader (e.g., sports, clubs, military).
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays, with regular on-site presence.
• Extra points for at least one year of customer service experience.
