Manager Trainee - Operational Strength Program

About the role

Avis Budget Group is recruiting a Manager Trainee for its Operational Strength Program (OSP), starting January 2027. This full-time, 12-month immersive program prepares participants to become Operations Managers through hands-on training in operations, customer service, logistics and team leadership, alongside a peer cohort and personalized mentorship. The program is based at the George Bush International Airport in Houston, Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through key operational functions while receiving mentorship from experienced leaders
• Apply new skills daily through hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Build the skills to drive team performance and operational excellence
• Work shifts, weekends and holidays, with regular on-site presence (the role is not remote)

Required profile

• 2- or 4-year college degree OR 4 years of military service
• Willingness and ability to relocate anywhere in the United States after the initial 8-week training
• Team member or team leader experience (e.g., sports, clubs, military)
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
• Preferred: at least one year of customer service experience with a strong work ethic
