Manager, Solutions Engineering

About the role

Scribe is hiring its first Manager, Solutions Engineering to build and lead the founding team behind its most strategic deals. You will own the technical engagement with Fortune 1000 executives, delivering demos and proof‑of‑concepts that translate Scribe’s capabilities into measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the Solutions Engineering function, defining processes, scope, and playbooks for scalable growth.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a founding team of Solutions Engineers, overseeing coaching, performance, and career development.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to bring technical credibility to strategic opportunities from discovery through close.
• Deliver proof‑of‑concepts that quantify time saved, cost avoidance, and operational gains for customers.
• Act as the bridge between Go‑to‑Market and Product, feeding customer feedback into the roadmap.
• Build reusable demo assets, proof‑of‑concept frameworks, and technical narratives to reduce reliance on tribal knowledge.

Required profile

• 3+ years of people‑management experience leading Solutions Engineers, Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, or similar technical customer‑facing teams.
• Background as a Solutions Engineer or comparable pre‑ or post‑sales role at a high‑growth SaaS company.
• Proven ability to explain large language models and AI product concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
• Experience building a function from scratch without an existing playbook.
• Track record designing scalable programs, processes, and playbooks while staying hands‑on in strategic engagements.
