Manager, Program Management

About the role

The Program Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is accountable for end‑to‑end delivery, financial performance, and risk management across a portfolio of aerospace and space programs. This senior role leads a team of Project Managers to execute projects for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own portfolio outcomes for safety, quality, schedule, cost and customer satisfaction.
• Lead multiple Project Managers, set standards, coach performance and ensure consistent application of PM practices.
• Drive integrated planning across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and quality, removing blockers.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100D QMS, FAR/DFARS, CUI/ITAR/EAR and other regulatory requirements.
• Own financial targets, review CPI/SPI trends, maintain forecasts and lead corrective actions.
• Partner with growth team on proposal development, resource allocation and capture management.

Required profile

• Self‑starting, high‑autonomy professional comfortable with ambiguity.
• Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams on technically complex, dynamic projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with customers, partners and internal leadership.
• Experience switching between large government programs and fast‑moving commercial projects.

Required skills

• Program and project management for aerospace/defense/space systems.
• Knowledge of AS9100D quality management system.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR compliance.
• Cost and schedule control, risk management and recovery planning.
• Financial forecasting, CPI/SPI analysis and budget ownership.
• Proposal management and bid review processes.
