Manager, Off Airport Processing

About the role

The Manager, Off Airport Processing (OAP) leads the design and execution of airline check‑in processes that take place outside the airport, primarily within the Olympic and Paralympic Villages. This role ensures large volumes of passenger baggage, oversized and super‑oversized sports equipment are processed efficiently, reducing airport congestion and eliminating double‑handling for athletes and team officials.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive OAP plan for peak departure days, targeting the largest 20–30 NOCs/NPCs.
• Define operational spaces, logistical flows, and technology requirements for off‑site locations within the Villages.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Airport Operations, airlines, ground handlers, NOCs/NPCs, and government border and security agencies.
• Design a secure baggage chain of custody and oversee mobile check‑in desk deployment.
• Facilitate project management activities, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation throughout the Games.

Required profile

• Proven experience in large‑scale operations or logistics planning, preferably in aviation or major events.
• Strong project‑management and facilitation skills, with a track record of coordinating multiple high‑profile stakeholders.
• Understanding of airline check‑in processes, baggage handling, and security protocols.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt plans for peak‑period demands.
