Duty Manager Fueling - LAX

About the role

Swissport, a global leader in aviation ground handling, cargo handling and passenger services, is hiring a Duty Manager Fueling for its Los Angeles station. The role covers the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of into-plane fueling while meeting customer service standards and contractual obligations. The expected pay is $78,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Manage quality, health, safety and environmental activities at the station to reduce employee injuries, aircraft and equipment damage
• Enforce company safety and health policies and ensure safe, efficient use of fueling equipment
• Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs and airport authority rules and regulations
• Audit and correct fuel-related paperwork, and ensure compliance with ATA 103, NFPA 407 and FAR Part 139.321
• Complete daily reports, including KRONOS payroll data entries
• Manage staff time to reduce overtime dependence, and coach, counsel or discipline employees who violate company policy
• Liaise regularly with customers, the airport authority and government agencies, and review activity, operating and sales reports with branch administration

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of into-plane experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, government regulations and safety manuals
• Problem-solving ability and multitasking
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
