About the role

As Senior Manager of Flight Controls & Software for the Airbus Flexrotor program, you will lead the development of the “brain” of a high‑performance VTOL unmanned aerial system. Based in Bingen, WA, you will bridge advanced aerodynamics with cutting‑edge autonomy, ensuring the platform meets certification and mission requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team covering flight controls, embedded software, and system integration.
• Translate complex flight dynamics into executable control laws.
• Oversee the full software lifecycle from kickoff through P3, including verification and validation.
• Manage integration and testing across SIL, HIL, and flight‑test environments.
• Ensure robustness, certifiability, and mission readiness of autonomous systems.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in aerospace or high‑tech software projects.
• Deep understanding of flight‑control theory and embedded software development.
• Track record of delivering complex system‑integration solutions for unmanned or manned aircraft.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and solve integration challenges.
