UAS Operator Level III – Flexrotor Program

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an experienced Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Operator Level III to act as the critical link between engineering, production, and global field operations. Based in Bingen, WA, you will lead customer demonstrations, industrial flight tests, and ensure flawless performance of Flexrotor VTOL UAS in mission‑critical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and conduct Flexrotor UAS demonstrations on land and maritime platforms for US and allied forces.
• Plan, execute, and document industrial flight tests, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to translate technical requirements into operational procedures.
• Provide on‑site technical support during customer deployments and troubleshoot system issues.
• Maintain detailed flight logs, test reports, and post‑mission analyses.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating VTOL or other unmanned aerial systems in operational settings.
• Strong understanding of flight test methodology and safety regulations.
• Ability to work in remote or maritime environments and adapt to changing mission requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with engineering, production, and customer teams.
