Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – B2C, B2B & Commercial

About the role

Sparx Hockey is seeking a highly motivated FP&A professional to join its Finance team. The role will lead key financial functions across B2C, B2B, and commercial channels, owning forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic planning. Although the title includes “Manager,” the position focuses on process and model management rather than people management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for business channels.
• Build and refine financial models supporting short‑ and long‑term planning.
• Analyze sales, profitability, customer acquisition, and inventory trends using NetSuite and Shopify data.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Operations to align financial plans with business initiatives.
• Support month‑end close activities, variance analysis, and margin planning.

Required profile

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of relevant experience; MBA preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite, Shopify, and business intelligence tools.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into strategic insights.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with senior leadership.
• Strong problem‑solving and quantitative analytical abilities.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented.
