Manager, Continuing Medical Education

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medical Education seeks a full‑time Manager to lead its Continuing Medical Education (CME) program in Miami, FL. The role involves planning, supporting, and ensuring compliance of CME activities with ACCME standards while collaborating with physicians and staff to deliver high‑quality educational experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate development and delivery of CME courses, conferences, and online instruction.
• Conduct needs assessments, create course objectives, and produce program brochures.
• Negotiate speaker, venue, and hotel contracts; manage commercial support and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate logistics for regional, national, and international meetings, including RFP creation, site selection, and on‑site execution.
• Perform unannounced audits of conferences, generate monitoring reports, and ensure all documentation meets ACCME credit designation requirements.
• Maintain activity files, verify completeness of required documentation, and monitor internal controls for policy compliance.

Required profile

• Experience managing CME programs and familiarity with ACCME essential areas, elements, standards, and policies.
• Proven ability to collaborate with physicians, academic staff, and external vendors.
• Strong organizational skills for overseeing multiple conferences and logistical components.
