Manager, Commercial Strategy - Office of Pro Acceleration

About the role

The Pro customer represents a $700 billion market opportunity, and The Home Depot's Office of Pro Acceleration brings together enterprise teams to accelerate market share capture. As Manager, Commercial Strategy, you act as a key strategic partner and analytical lead supporting growth strategies across the Pro ecosystem. You work closely with the Director, Commercial Strategy, cross-functional partners and Business Unit leads, leading market analysis, customer segmentation and commercial growth modelling, and helping turn go-to-market strategies into operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Deep customer discovery and needs analysis: uncover qualitative and quantitative insights into Pro customer needs, pain points, purchasing drivers and friction across segments
• Customer segmentation and value proposition definition: analyse customer cohorts, behavioural data and market trends to define targeted value propositions
• Commercial strategy execution: turn insights into growth plans, go-to-market initiatives and cross-selling playbooks, partnering with Sales Enablement and Commercial Leadership
• Opportunity modelling and business cases: run financial and quantitative analysis to evaluate growth initiatives and build business cases
• Partner with sales, operations and merchandising teams to align customer needs with operational execution

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Education typically acquired through a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
• Preferred: 5 years of work experience
• Reports to a Director; no direct reports; typically 5% to 20% overnight travel

Required skills

• Understanding of B2B sales models, customer segmentation, wholesale distribution and retail dynamics
• Analytical mindset with expertise in data-driven business cases, financial modelling and structured quantitative analysis
• Ability to partner across business units and synthesize findings into executive summaries and presentations
• Accounting principles, financial data analysis and reporting, strategic planning and project management
